The drying process

Yes, you guessed it—drying wool is a bit like watching paint dry! After washing, the wool is placed on our drying stand, where it’s carefully dried with the help of fans. By positioning one fan underneath the stand and another above, we speed up the drying process, often reducing it to a day or less.

Once the wool is fully dried, we apply a light spray of conditioner. This important step helps reduce static, allowing the fibers to relax and become more manageable. Conditioning also prepares the wool for the next stage by strengthening it and making it less prone to breaking. It’s a simple but crucial process that sets the stage for everything that follows.
