Feeding with Fodder: Nutrition for Every Season

On our farm, we’re dedicated to ensuring our animals—sheep, goats, alpacas, and horses—receive the best nutrition year-round. That’s why we grow fodder, especially for the late fall through early spring months when the pastures are no longer growing.

Once the pastures are finished for the year, we turn to our greenhouse, where we cultivate sprouted greens. This fresh fodder provides essential nutrients that help our animals stay happy, healthy, and thriving during the off-season. By supplementing their diet with sprouted greens, we ensure they get the same quality nutrition as they would from grazing on fresh pasture.

Growing fodder not only supports our animals’ health but also aligns with our commitment to sustainable farming practices. It’s a win-win for our farm and our herd!
